2011 Wildlife in Need – Orangutan 1oz Silver Proof Coin
Friday, 21 Oct 2011 6:00 AM
The Orangutan is characterised by its ape-like shape, shaggy red fur, long arms and grasping hands and feet. This ‘man of the forest’ is now only found on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra in south-east Asia.
The destruction of habitats through commercial logging, forest clearance for oil palm plantations and agriculture, have contributed to this animal’s need for protection. In addition, uncontrolled fires and human exploitation present further challenges. It is more important than ever to safeguard the future of this well-loved species.
Proof Quality 99.9% Pure Silver
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint on behalf of Coin Club Australia from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. Orangutan Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse features an adult Orangutan and baby in colour, against a forest backdrop. The lower reverse comprises a struck design showing a pair of supporting hands with a bamboo motif. The inscription WILDLIFE IN NEED – ORANGUTAN is also incorporated into the design.
Tuvalu Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the coin’s obverse depicts the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2012 year-date.

($1,000 Face) Bag of 90% Silver Coins (coins may consist of quarters, dimes, or halves)
These are silver coins that have no collectible value, and are sometimes known informally as “Junk Silver.” While there may be no numismatic value to these coins, the 90% silver content is still valuable. The popularity of such coins is that they are usually offered for sale with very little premium over the spot price for silver. Other benefits include the fact that these coin are still legal tender, and that they represent small amounts of silver when compared to the 1 troy oz that is most common with silver bullion coins minted today. In the event that precious metals supplant paper currencies, 90% silver coins are seen as the ideal answer for transaction needs.

U.S. silver coins minted before 1965 have a silver content of 90%. As silver prices rose in the 1960s, 90% silver coins were discontinued when the silver content value began to exceed their face value. These coins are a popular choice among silver investors due to the low premium over spot silver prices at which they sell. Another reason for their popularity among silver investors is the fact that these coins are legal tender. Purchasers of pre-1965 coins see value in these smaller denomination silver coins relative to the 1 troy ounce coins typically minted and sold today. $1 face value is equal to .715 troy ounces. In other words, a $1,000 face bag would equal 715 troy ounces of silver.

(Dates of our Choice) American Gold Eagle G$25 (1/2 oz).
Friday, 2 Dec 2011 7:00 AM
(Dates of our Choice) American Gold Eagle G$25 (1/2 oz). American Eagle Since 1986 a rendition of sculptor Adolph A. Weinman?s wondrous ?Walking Liberty? has styled the Obverse of the American Eagle coin. Symbolizing vigilance and resolute faithfulness to duty, Weinman?s original design graced this Nation?s first circulated half-dollar coin in 1916. Then ?Liberty? walked again in 1907 when the Saint-Gaudens design first appeared on the US $20 (Double Eagle). The American Eagle Proof program was introduced in 1986 with the sale of gold and silver proof coins. Platinum was added to the American Eagle Proofs in 1997. The United States Mint produces Proofs and Bullion Finishes of American Eagle coins with a $50 face value, available in limited mintage. Terms ?Proof? and ?Bullion Finishes? refer to the US Mint?s specialized minting process and the Official Certificate of Authenticity. American Eagle ? Gold The Obverse design features a rendition of Augustus Saint-Gaudens? full length figure ?Lady Liberty with Flowing Hair?. In right hand, a torch; in her left hand, she holds an olive branch. Reverse design (sculptor Miley Busiek) depicts a soaring Eagle with olive branch flying above a nest with a mate and hatchlings. These coins have the inscriptions of the denominations, the weight of the metal content, the year of minting or issuance, the words “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” “United States of America,” and “E Pluribus Unum,” and feature a reeded edge. American Eagle Gold Proofs and Uncirculated coins are available. The American Eagle Gold Uncirculated coin is available in 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 ounce sizes, as well as a complete four-coin set containing one coin of each size. The mint process for Uncirculated coins is similar to the minting procedures used to create the magnificent American Eagle Proofs. In 2006 the US Mint started American Eagle Uncirculated Coins are hand-loaded, struck on specially burnished blanks and carry the “W” mint mark of the United States Mint at West Point. Gold Eagle ? 10th Anniversary Commemorates the 10th anniversary of American Eagle Coin Production… Confused: how do the years add-up to a 10th anniversary in 1995 and a 20th anniversary in 2006? Answer: 2006 20th anniversary commemorates the 20th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program. Again the 10th anniversary commemorates the Minting Production Start-Date. These Label designs showcase elements from the Obverse design of these coins on a gradient background. All dates, mint marks, proof and mint state issues of US bullion coins are eligible, but no pedigrees or early release designations are available in conjunction with the American Liberty Series labels. The grading standards and procedures are identical to regular NGC labels; only appearance differs. The American Liberty Series is available only to submitters who meet minimum submission requirements. The Royal Canadian Mint
The Royal Canadian Mint, which produces the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin, was officially opened on January 2, 1908, with the minting of a single fifty cent piece as an extension of Britain’s Royal Mint. A few years later in the fall of 1911, the gold refinery was complete and helped supply much of Britain’s debtors with gold bars as form of payment. The Royal Canadian Mint officially changed hands in 1931, with the passage of the Heritage building on Sussex Drive, the surrounding land and the entire minting process, making it a solely Canadian operation. Today, under sole Canadian direction, the Royal Canadian Mint is a for profit corporation with sole responsibility of producing a fair return on investment for the corporations only shareholder, the Government of Canada.
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Bullion Coin
The Royal Canadian Mint produced the first Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin in 1988 and it became one of only a handful of government issued coins minted out of 99.99% Silver with a face value of $5 Canadian Dollars. Most government issued silver coins are 99.9% silver with a face value of $1.00.
Obverse and Reverse
On the obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, while on the reverse is an image of a maple leaf. Both the image of the queen and the Maple Leaf vary year to year, so no two years are identical.
Packaging
The Canadian Silver Maple leaf comes direct from the Royal Canadian Mint in a yellow mint sealed monster box of 500 coins. Within each sealed box is 20 tubes of 25 coins each. If you purchase 500 Canadian Silver Maple Leafs you will receive a box sealed directly from the mint. If you were to purchase the Silver Maple Leafs in increments of 25, the coins will be shipped in a tube direct from a sealed box. If you purchase in any other increment, the coins will be shipped in soft plastic flips.
Internationally Recognized
Because of the Canadian Mints commitment to continual improvement in refining techniques it most often likes to refer to its Maple Leafs as the International Symbol of Purity and for such reasons have been internationally recognized since 1988.
Weight/Dimensions/Face Value
The 1 troy ounce coin weighs 1 troy ounces (31.103 grams), has a diameter of 38 millimeters, a thickness of 2.87 millimeters and a face value of $5 Canadian Dollars.

2012 1 oz Gold Canadian Maple Leaf The Royal Canadian Mint was officially opened on January 2, 1908, with the minting of a single fifty cent piece as an extension of Britain?s Royal Mint. A few years later in the fall of 1911, the gold refinery was complete and helped supply much of Britain?s debtors with gold bars as form of payment. In 1979, the Royal Canadian Mint, produced its first gold bullion coin, the Canadian Maple Leaf, originally struck in .999 purity for the first four years of production the Canadian Mint has continued to reinvent it refining practices. In 1983 the mint became the first to produce gold bullion coins in .9999 purity and then again set a new standard in 1999 with the minting of the worlds first .99999 fine bullion coin. The Canadian Maple Leaf on the obverse depicts a bust of Queen Elizabeth II with the date of issue and the denomination. The reverse depicts the legendary Canadian Maple Leaf, ?the nation?s symbol?, the country of which it was produced, the purity and the amount of fine gold content contained. The Canadian Maple leaf comes in a variety of sizes that include 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz and 1/20oz varieties. The 1oz coins come in rolls of 10, while the rest of the denominations come individually sealed in plastic. Because of the Canadian Mints commitment to continual improvement in refining techniques it most often likes to refer to its Maple Leafs as the ?international symbol of purity? and for such reasons have been internationally recognized since 1979.

Gainesville Coins is pleased to present the 1 oz gold PAMP or Credit Suisse gold bar.
Both PAMP and Credit Suisse are private refiners located in Switzerland. They are well known for quality in the gold bullion market. Both refiners use gold that is 99.99% pure or 24-karat gold. Gold bars from both refiners come with a matching Assay certificate that guarantees the fineness and weight of pure gold.
The design of each bar differs. The design on the one ounce PAMP gold bar is a depiction of Fortuna, the Roman goddess of fortune, along with the bar’s purity, weight, and serial number. The design on the one ounce Credit Suisse gold bar is the Credit Suisse logo, along with the bar’s purity, weight, and serial number.
Gainesville Coins treats bars from both refiners as a single product ID. If you have a preference, you can state it in the “additional instructions” box as you check out. However, Gainesville Coins cannot guarantee that the bar you receive will be your preferred refiner.
PAMP
PAMP stands for Produits Artistiques Metauz Precieux. PAMP offers a comprehensive range of gold bullion bars – refined up to 99.9%, or even 99.99% purities – and available from 1-gram ingots to 400-ounce institutional bars. PAMP gold bars are accepted as ‘Good Delivery’ in all major markets worldwide. An assay certificate comes with each gold bar. All bars are subjected to rigorous inspections and weighing before packing and dispatch, as would be expected of the world’s perfectionist in precious metals.
Credit Suisse
Credit Suisse gold is among the most popular gold brands today. They are globally accepted as an assayer and refiner. Credit Suisse produces gold bars ranging from 1-gram ingots to 400 ounces institutional bars. These gold bars are made of the purest gold bullion. South African Krugerrand 1 oz. Gold
Krugerrand has dominated the bullion gold market and is considered to be the most widely held and actively traded bullion coin on the market. Not only was the South African Krugerrand the first bullion gold coin to be marketed as a vehicle for private ownership during the 1970?s it was also the first gold bullion coin to be minted in exactly 1oz fine gold increments. Developed by the South African Chamber of Mines on behalf of the South African gold mining industry and officially authorized by the South African Reserve Bank, the Krugerrand continues to be on of the most widely produced and recognized gold coin both internationally and domestically, with nearly 46 million ounces produced and distributed world wide. Kruggerands are produced at the Rand Refinery in Germiston South Africa, established by the Chamber of Mines in 1920, the Rand Refinery is the worlds largest single site smelting and refining complex in the world. It is important to note that the Rand Refinery is the only refinery in the world that is authorized through the South African Treasury and the Reserve Bank of South Africa to manufacture and supply the gold blanks for Krugerrands. Developed solely for gold bullion trade and private ownership the Krugerrand was strategically made in 1oz increments and of 22 karat gold with no face value on the coin, this was done with the idea that, although it is still considered legal tender its value would be more commonly linked to the spot price of gold. The Krugerrand is most noted for it?s low premium over gold spot price and its ease of liquidation internationally.

2012 San Francisco Mint Silver Eagles Mint Sealed Monster Box
Monday, 16 Apr 2012 6:00 AM
Due to unprecedented demand, the San Francisco Mint in 2011 was directed to begin minting the Silver American Eagle, the official 1 oz U.S. silver bullion coin. Prior to this, American Silver Eagles were only minted at the U.S. Mint’s West Point facility. However, American Silver Eagles DO NOT have a mint mark. In other words, Silver Eagles from the San Francisco Mint are indistinguishable from Silver Eagles from the West Point Mint. The only distinguishing attribute between the two mints are the Monster Box seals that indicate the Mint of origin. If the seal on the San Francisco Mint Monster Box is removed, there would be no way to distinguish them from the West Point Mint Monster Box.
The American Silver Eagle was first produced in 1986, and is the official silver bullion coin of the United States. 2012 1oz Gold Buffalo 9999 Fine NGC MS70 Early Release
Wednesday, 18 Apr 2012 6:00 AM
The highly coveted 2012 $50 Gold Buffalo, MS 70, NGC, Early Release 1 oz coin is nothing short of phenomenal. The Gold Buffalo coin has shown strong spreads between buy and sell pricing when compared to other bullion products. This coin has been described as one of the most beautiful coins ever produced by the US Mint. Considering that the purity and gold composition are guaranteed by the US Government, this coin is highly popular with both bullion investors and coin collectors.
“MS” stands for Mint State and 70 is a grade number on a scale of 1 to 70. Mint state coins are coins in the same condition that they were in just after leaving the mint, with no evidence of wear or handling. Mint state coins can still have normal damage from being put in hoppers and bagged, so the degree of damage is evaluated by the number associated with the letter grade. An MS-60 would be the lowest grade of mint state coin, with no wear or handling but numerous “dings”, etc. from the minting process.
An MS-70 coin would have no evidence of such damage, and be in pristine condition. Assigning a grade that high is a job reserved for trained experts who could recognize and evaluate even the slightest flaws.
Technically MS70 is a perfect coin showing no trace of wear; the finest quality possible with no evidence of scratches or contact marks from other coins.
Obverse/Front
The design of the American Buffalo is a modified version of the noted Buffalo nickel designed by James Earle Fraser, which was released from 1913 – 1938. In fact, the same Buffalo nickel design was also used on the 2001 Smithsonian commemorative coin. Frasier, the son of an engineer, was born in Minnesota and very early in his development began carving figures from pieces of limestone.
Later in his adult life and while studying in Paris, Frasier studied under acclaimed sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens for four years. Eventually, Frasier relocated to New York where he was commissioned on many high profile projects including the design of the Navy Cross.
The obverse of the coin features the profile of a Native American, which is believed to be a composite of the features taken from the Chiefs of three (3) Indian tribes, Big Tree, Iron Trail and Two Moons.
Reverse/Back
The reverse, or back, of the coins features the famous profile of Black Diamond, a 1,550-pound American Bison then living at the Bronx Zoo portraying the United States’ westward expansion and pioneering spirit.

2012 1oz Gold Buffalo 9999 Fine NGC MS70 Early Release
Thursday, 26 Apr 2012 6:00 AM

Over time, the poaching of the animal for its horns has escalated and remains the creature’s greatest threat. The Black Rhinoceros is classified as critically endangered, and one subspecies, the Western Black Rhinoceros, was declared extinct by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources in 2011.
Political instability and wars have also severely hampered rhinoceros conservation work in Africa.
